why PC get disconnected from LAN whenever i connect a network cable to wireless access point?

Configuration is like this. Router > Switch > My Desktop and wireless access point(WAP).

If I plug LAN cable to my WAP ,,then my PC gets disconnected from Internet. I have assigned the ID address and Default gateway to WAP .And in my Desktop IP settings are in " Obtain automatically"

Is the IP range in the router the same as that you have set into the WAP ?
