I have an MSI Z87 G45 Motherboard. It has an mSATA slot, but as best as I can tell, it does not have a mini PCI express slot (it has 4 PCI 2.0 x1 slots).

I found some of the mini PCI express wireless cards that I want, but didn't know if they'd work. I know from looking around that mSATA sometimes, but not always fits in mini PCI. So I was wondering if mini PCI fits in mSATA.

Can anyone help with clarifying this?

For reference, here is the motherboard:

and here are the wireless cards:

Okay, thanks. Is there a particular card you would recommend?

I have just purchased a similar board MSI Z97-G45 Gaming. I also purchased CH Intel|7260.HMWNBWB (which is an mSATA interface) in hope of using this as my internal WiFi. Upon building out the machine and reading though the book, I have found this mSATA is dedicated only for an SSD drive. So at this point, I am quite disappointed. I should have went with PCI express to begin with.
