Like the title says, I'm looking for a new GPU for my system. My current specs:

Intel Core i5 2300 @2.80 GHz (stock, not OC'd)
8GB DDR3 Ram @1333 MHz
Asus HD 6950 1GB
Corsair tx650w PSU (650 Watt)

I play a lot of Battlefield 3, and I want my system to run BF4 at preferably Ultra settings. But I was wondering, is my CPU fast enough, or would a CPU upgrade be something I'll have to consider first? or will a GPU upgrade be sufficiant for a performance boost?

If so, this is one of the GPU's I'm interested in, and I was hoping to get some feedback about it.

And BTW, will my PSU be able to handle this card? I suppose 650 Watt should be enough.

An Hd 7970 is a brilliant choice.Basically battlefield 4 should work perfect onmany system that runs battlefield 3 well cuz bf4 is made using the same game engine

Well, I tried the beta, but it performs very bad. Low FPS and a lot of lag spikes. BF3 ran on Ultra at 1920x1080 without ever getting below 30 FPS on my system. Battlefield 4 on the other hand runs terrible. Although it is just a beta, and the final game will most likely have way better performance on much more systems.

but besides that, I still am looking for a GPU upgrade, and I guess I´ll go for that HD 7970
