I looked through quite a bit of thermal paste reviews & comparison graphs. It seems that some show one is not as good as another shows etc & its hard for me to choose which one to get.Ive only used AS5.Although many use it still, their are obviously better ones. From what I read, carbon based thermal paste is best.I made a poll to cast your vote.Would like to hear from you also

These are just a collection of what i seen as best performers. These are the top 3 I am thinking about geting
#1: Phobya HeGrease Extreme
#2:Tuniq TX-4
#3:ARCTIC MX-4

I'm limited to 10 on the poll,heres what I couldn't add:
prolimatech pk 1,2,& 3
ARCTIC MX-2 & 3

The first one you listed, Phobya HeGrease Extreme, performs the same or worse than AS5, http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=228454

Really, carbon/diamond/platinum whatever are all fancy marketing terms to make people thing it's better. It has carbon nanotubes, I've heard of those, it has diamonds, it must be better.

Most perform within a few degrees of each other, including use mayonnaise. Granted the mayo dried up quick and didn't last long, but when it did, it performed about the same.

The first link was a single test by a person with a system, not a more controlled tested, and they even state, their AS5 has been installed for months on the CPU and the others weren't, which to me, negates the test and comparison about AS5 to me.

It up to you, there are a dozen tests that show a dozen different results.
