Frequent freezes after replacing power supply

Recently my power supply box died and I replaced it. Pretty simple. now however upon booting it is frequent to freezes, lock ups and general bugs. For example, around 3-5 minutes after booting on desktop, it will freeze allowing me the ability to interact with the desktop itself but not the window open, and a minute later total inability to use anything. Any ideas?
