Help: Games crash while launching. Is it RAM or PSU?

Specs:
AMD FX6300
Crucial 2gb DDR3 1600mhz 1 module
ASUS 7770 2GB GDDR5 128-bit
5400RPM 500GB HDD
Corsair C500 X PSU
ASUS M5A97 R2.0 MOBO

Everytime I try to launch a game, the game crashes immediately. I've tried BF1942, BF3, and Age of Mythology. I'm assuming it has to do with either my memory or PSU, since those are the lowest budget points on this PC. I have 2 additional identical Crucial memory sticks coming in the mail tomorrow, and am ordering a 7200RPM HDD next week (current HDD was laying around the house). Could it be my power supply? would make sense since it seems only my GPU crashes and not my whole PC. any help is greatly appreciated.

May be lack of DRAM, see how it is when you get the new and get back to us

Did a fresh install of windows, and bf1942 and play4free are running.
