Hello everyone,

I wanted to know which variant of the GTX780 is the best for custom water-cooling and I am not thinking about the EVGA Classified or the HOF Galaxy, I want something that has the best components for an overclock with ''Water Cooling'' Thanks!

More about : gtx780 watercooling

Whichever one uses a reference design PCB, from there its basically lucky dip whether you get a card that overclocks well or not.
High end custom cards often have custom PCB designs, so you wont be able to find a Universal block for them unless there is one manufactured specifically for them (EK tends to support ASUS DCII cards, as well as the HOF mentioned).

I Understand that, and EK is supporting DCII but Asus sells their cards with pretty low clocks, and I don't understand why!

Hey,

Usually I would agree with going with a stock card, considering waterblock compatibility, and in that case I would recommend Evga as they have good customer support, and their cards are well made. However the Asus Direct Cu cards as manofchalk mentioned are supported by EK, so if you would manage to get one of those you would get all the benefits of a non reference card. Although considering that for the most part the cards are voltage locked there isn't too big of a difference. However if you are into BIOS mods and are able to unlock the voltage the Direct Cu might give you a bit of an edge.

Hope this helps!

Personally, I'd go with the EVGA 780 Hydro Copper Edition. It's already got all the Watercooling supplies installed, it looks sick, and it's an awesome card. EVGA Cards are great for overclocking.

If you're patient, hang on until EK release a block for the Galaxy GTX 780 HOF edition card

^ although mentioned about the HOF cards - you might want to reconsider as its more like the cream of the crop GPU from Galaxy's camp, that too from Nvidia. Doesn't get any better than this!...?

Because ASUS has to make sure that every one of their cards can run at the clock speeds they sell them at, and do it with reasonable noise and temperatures. Us enthusiasts are fine to manually stabilize an overclock and are willing to deal with higher noise and temperatures.
That, and all their very high quality chips are going into cards like the ASUS Matrix.
