my dvd drive cannot copy files from the disk.what can I do now?

My dvd drive cannot copy files from the disks.

Have you been able to copy files from a DVD in the past? Are these data files such as pictures, documents, programs, etc.? How are you attempting to copy the files? Have you tried the disks in another computer? I only ask because if the disks are read in another computer's DVD drive then the DVD drive could be the problem. If the disks aren't read in another drive then you could have some damaged disks.
