Hi,

I have an ABIT IL9 Pro LGA 775 Intel 945 ATX Intel Motherboard, and I have dual channel memory (totaling to 2gb) and one other stick that is a 2GB stick stand alone. According to newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813127015

(Continued) It states that it supports a maximum of 4GB Memory, dual channel. I may be overlooking the obvious but, with only 3 sticks of RAM in my system that total to 4.0GB, is installing Windows 7 64-Bit an option?

You should be able to install the 64 bit version of Windows 7 to be able to use all 4GB as opposed to only 3. I don't see an issue here.

Your PC will recognize the 4GB RAM if your PC can boot and after installation the 64-bit OS.

Also your RAM will run in single channel mode too, because you only have 3 sticks of RAM.
