my mobo is asus m5a78lmle. does it support fx 6300

currently i am using amd athlon ii x2 on asus M5A78LMLE mobo. i want to upgrade to an fx series cpu. this board can support up to 95 w tdp. 6300 is a 95 w cpu. bt what about overclocking it. if someone have any experience please share..

yes it can support the 6300 and you wont be able to overclock by much, you would be able to overclock just enough with out upping the amperage

Yes it will support one. I would not overclock it with that board though. You will probably kill the board.

thanks for your reply. i oc'd my athlon ii x2 to 3.9 GHz without any problem. the stock frequency
was 3.4 . so just like u said its a mild overclocker. also i came to know that i need to upgrade the bios to use fx 6300..

Asrock 970 extreme4 is the cheapest board I would recommend for any serious overclocking of an FX 6300.
