By pressing Del at restart or clearing the CMOS (unplug the powwr cord and remove the CMOS battery for few minutes) and then F1.

I just want to install a samsung ssd but i cannot come into the bios!
pressing delete didn/t work.

Thanks it works by installing a new battery (had one left for the clocks) and after pressing delete it works!!!
For finding out why i cannot find AHCI in my bios folders and only IDE (i have to change this) in either my laptop or destkop i probably have to open an other thread?? Thanks anyhow!!

For the board, ICH7 does not support AHCI, so...

ok well thanks. Both computers are quite old. Tomorrow i want to buy an other with a i7 4770 CPU and more power for the watts. My socket is still 775. I am experimenting a with the older computers. I probably also want to buy the geforce 660 ti, which is as i heard a reliable and cheap graphic card. Not as good as the 700 series but affordable. i don't know how to close this thread. Does the moderator does this?? Thanks alexoiu.
