**PLEASE HELP**unable to save display settings

I have an alienware m18x and an external 2913wm monitor, great rig for gaming. But recently moved it over to my moms and now i have windows saying unable to save display settings, i'm not sure if its my connections, monitor or computer. PLEASE HELP!!

tried it, plus it's hardly recognizing my other screen, no video or anything.

What are the ports you have on monitors and Laptop ? If you have DVI then try to connect through DVI ports.

okay so i'll get a cord asap. but i'm trying to display it through mini Dp, no luck. hdmi, some but i'm still having issues, installed all new drivers, everything.

Mini display port and HDMI will not work here hopefully. So its better to get the display from DVI ports. So if you have two DVI ports on Laptop then try to use those for display. Or buy some "Active" adapters for HDMI to DVI or VGA to DVI, "Passive" adapters will not work either.
