Wanting to upgrade processor

Hello, I have a pc that a couple years old and I am wanting to upgrade processor to AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Processor. The processor's TDP is 125 while the motherboards max is 95 TDP. The motherboard lists this processor as supported. Is it safe to install and use this processor? this pc probably will be running cpu intensive tasks. Help please?

That motherboard only supports "some" of the Phenom II x6's...For Example, The Phenom II x6 1035t and the Phenom II x6 1045 both run at 95W which will work on that board. But the 1090T is a 125W unlike the 95W, will not work directly with that board. Only the 95W Phenom II 6 cores will work though.
