Hey. I am currently upgrading my pc, but I am not sure if 6350 is going to bottleneck the 280X, I haven't bought those two components yet, but I am planning to. Also I have Antec EarthWatts 500W powersupply but I am not sure if its enough to handle those two.
My current specs:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 @3.4GHz
GPU: Asus GTX 560
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Motherboard: Asus M5A87
Case: Antec Three Hunder Two 302
And 3 x 120mm case fans
My budget is about 450-500€, tell me if there is something else that I should upgrade for everything to work perfectly. This is a gaming rig, so I want most of the newest games to work on High/Ultra settings @1080p. You can also suggest something else for the same price :)

The 280X is just a re branded 7970. The 6350 will not bottleneck it. I suggest buying a 6300 and using the saving to buy an aftermarket cooler and overclock there in making the 6300 faster than the 6350 could be. The are the same exact chip just the 6350 is OC'd from the factory.

Well I might got for the 6300 and OC it with my shitty MB, but I am not sure about the HD 7970 because here where I live, it costs 50€ ($70) more than 280X, and buying it from US would be expensive because of the shipping and taxes.
But thanks for suggestions anyway. It seems like 7970/R9 280X both require more than 550W PSU and mine is only 500W, so I will have to waste some money on that one too :/

Well, get an FX 6300. The 6350 is just a factory overclock nothing else. As someone else said, you can go ahead and buy a cooler instead of spending extra money on the 6350 then overclock it to like 4.4Ghz. The R9 280X is a perfect choice. It wont be bottlenecked by the FX 6300. That GPU has cool new features. Everyone says its just a rebrand of the 7970 as someone else also said in this thread. That's kind of correct, but dont forget, it has a higher clock+new DirectX version (11.2 compared to 11.1) new OpenGL version (4.3 MANTLE compared to 4.2. The mantle would seriously help in BF4). That rig will get you 45+ FPS at all times (45+ FPS cos the 1st and 2nd stage are really demanding. Highl;y textured. In rest stages 55+) at ultra settings. Cant talk about BF4 since it is a beta as of now. The game, when finalized shall run even better as it would be more optimised (GTA IV, AC3 are some examples where optimization was terrible and hence FPS drops from like 90 to 40 even in a GTX 690)

Okay, now all I need is good but cheap PSU that is at least 650 watts, I was looking at Cooler Master GX 650W, it seems cheap and quiet, but many people say that CM makes shitty PSU's, any suggestions?

I say just go for the 6350. It is faster, and it's basically an 8350 just without the 2 extra cores which is only really used for rendering, so in games the 6350 would have like 1-3 fps less. Where as the 6300 would have about 5-6.

Also do not get a cheap psu.

Always buy XFX or Corsair.
