Hey guys i am currently looking for a case that is inbetween 100-150$ range and i will be using a r9 280x and a corsair h100i in it. I would be using this case for 4+ years so a good quality also the case should have good airflow currently i was looking at the haf 932 and haf X. Is the haf X worth the extra 30$? All suggestions welcome!

Are the stock fans included in the switch good for oc or would you reccomend more also do you think it has better airflow then the HAf x

Well to tell the truth if you want an "air" cooled case then the Haf x would be the better way to go since it has larger fans that don't spin as fast. If you plan on doing water cooling to make it quiet then the NZXT Switch 810 is the way to go...either way both are great looking cases and both cool exceptionally well.

Also please do not forget to pick your best solution, as others may learn from your thread. Thank you for your time and consideration, and have a wonderful day/night.

One last question by water cooling does that unclude the h100i because i will be using it for the cpu so would i even need the airflow in the haf X? I will be aircooling my gpus so would you say wouldent make much difference with the Haf X or a big difference?

Good question, the answer is simple. The Haf X does not support two 120's on the top and if you were to go with that setup you would need to following rather then the H100i (the H90 i suggested has a 140 mm fan for your exhaust).

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU Cooler: Corsair H90 94.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($84.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $84.99
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

If you went the NZXT Switch 810 route however the H100i would fit quiet nicely in the case, the switch does have tilted fans on the hard drive bay (click here). You can also attach one below the pre-installed fan 120 mm or 140 mm, which are used to cool the GPU, plus it has a 120 or 140 mm at the bottom for exhaust for heat under the GPU. All and all this is an excellent case. However my suggestion would be:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

Case Fan: NZXT Air Flow Series 83.6 CFM 140mm Fan ($12.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Case Fan: NZXT Air Flow Series 83.6 CFM 140mm Fan ($12.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Case Fan: NZXT Air Flow Series 83.6 CFM 140mm Fan ($12.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Case Fan: NZXT Air Flow Series 83.6 CFM 140mm Fan ($12.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $51.96
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Have 4 extra fans to fill up the case 140 mm fans spin at a lower RPM then 120 mm (but this case supports both) and they are quieter since they spin slower.

Fractal Design has the Arc Midi R2 on sale for $70 on newegg. It retails for $100 and it's a pretty straight forward case in terms of features. Since you're considering water cooling it has offset top fan mounts to accommodate radiators and comes with 3x 140mm fans.

NZXT Switch has 4x140mm pre-installed bud, and not only that but it can fit the following radiators:

Top: 360 or 420 radiator (360 = 3x120 mm or 420 = 3x140 mm)
Rear: 120 or 140 mm
Bottom 120 or 140 mm
Front (without the hard drive cages): 240 mm or 280 mm.

He is looking for a $100 - $150 case that will allow the use of his R9 and h100i. The Arc Midi R2 retails for $100 which is why I suggested it for it's SALE price of $70. He's also not sure if the haf X is worth the extra expenditure which makes me think he doesn't want to spend more money than he should. If I can offer a solution that has comparable features to your $150 NZXT Switch(newegg price) at half the price while fulfilling his requirements, I'll do it. You argue multiple radiator options but he didn't indicate whether he wanted to upgrade to a custom loop setup in the future. Either way the Arc Midi R2 can still fit multiple radiator setups, albeit not as flexibly as the full tower NZXT Switch, if the OP wishes to do so.

Now if he doesn't like the way the Fractal Design looks, then I can't do anything about that.

Jeez, calm down man...I was just saying no one ever said anything about arguing with you....I agree that Fractal Design's are beautiful cases, I was just stating that the NZXT Switch came with 4 pre-installed and that you have room for expanding into the future. See when I answer someone I don't think about right at this moment....a lot of thought goes through my head before I respond (due to the way my boss's at work are, always 150 steps ahead of you, makes you feel like an idiot) I think about 5 years from now if he wants to expand. Of course if they don't think of it as a requirement to do that then there are plenty of options to be considered that would be of value for example:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

Case: Fractal Design Define R4 (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case ($89.99 @ Microcenter)
Total: $89.99
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Which is also a great case again by the Fractal Design of which you speak so highly of. I actually have a computer made from this case and it is an excellent laid out case. Again no one was arguing, please watch your respectfulness on this forum as it was a forum rule you agreed to when you signed up.

Argue wasn't the right word to use, to be honest. Maybe "present" would have been a better fit and I apologize for that. It's not that I prefer fractal design, as a company, over any other. For the sale price I think it holds an outstanding value. I can see where you're coming from because he's thinking about holding the case for upwards of 5 years and any one who is in to building computers will have at least considered custom loops.
