:wahoo: Hey guys, this christmas I shall be buying a new rig(my first ever!) And I will be using a intel 4670k overclocked to 4ghz for now cpu, 2 x 4gb ram , thermaltake toughpower 750W psu and a thermaltake versa g2 atx mid tower chase with 4 ventelation fans installed. I was wondering which gpu setup will last longest... I won't upgrade in the next 5 years and I shall be gaming at ultra at 1920 x 1080 with dvi on 24inch monitor... Anyway people say I won't get over 60 at bf4 with 770 oc so I though of getting dual 760 , but people say ill have driver probs and too much heat will be generated... I won't be oc the gpu's only the cpu! Also will that psu be good enough and also which new games doesn't support sli... Also the msi intel h87 g41 mate z87 chipset socket 1150 mobo says : 2 x pci slots.... Does that mean he has two slots for two gpu's??? And is that mobo good enough... Also I play about 2-8 hours gaming so will the heat get a huge prob also will be playing all new games,gta5,bf4,crysis 3....thnx!!!

It's usually best to get the single most powerful card that you can afford. However, going sli 760's isn't a bad option. They perform better than nvidia's titan in some benchmarks and cost half the price. If you plan on going the 760 route, then buy msi's twin frozr oc version (has some of the greatest cooling). Also, at 1080p 760's will last a long time.

About the mobo question. The one your looking at only has the ability to crossfire (no sli support), so if you want to go the sli nvidia route you will need a different mobo.

Hope some of that helped!

Go for asus z87-pro it is what I am getting and it supports sli. I have just made this decision to go with sli. I had picked the 770 then realised I should go with the 760 in sli as that will smash the fps of just the 770. There is a few ways of doing it in sli read up on it there a good page on it on the nvidai web site and also you can get a link that shows you what games are sli compatible.

For the cost of two 760's you can probably get a 780. So I'd pick that instead.
