It will play crysis 3 1080p at med-high detail. Is it a good deal? absolutely not. For £959 you could build a kick-ass desktop and run crysis 3 maxed 1080p+.

While it is certainly true that you could build a far better desktop for the price, as a laptop it isn't bad. Also, there is no way 959 pounds will get you a rig that will max crysis 3. If that's what you're after, and it is by no means necessary, then start thinking double or triple that budget.

If i were you i would, if it was possible, trade in the 4800mq for a 4700mq (really no difference in games) and get a stronger GPU for the money you saved, as those are much much much more important for gaming.

one advice :D ! dont upgrade your system for Crysis 3 . that short game with no story is full of bugs & lack of optimizations !
no single system can run it at stable & constant FPS ( unless its quad slied GTX titan or something ) . the PhysX bug is killing any VGA card . ya patch 1.3 has fixed it but Still . the game has poor optimization ! who ever upgrades his system for Crysis 3 gets disappointed soon enough !

my GTX 760 can run metro LL . Crysis 2 . Splinter Cell . Hitman & ... all other games as smooth as butter at veryhigh quality . but it cant run Crysis 3 at constant 60 FPS . i get 20-150 FPS ! ya hard to believe ! by the way i have removed the FPS cap by console code . but game still doesnt run as it should . by the way . Crysis 3 really has nothin to offer . if it would ran smooth like all other games it still wouldnt rock , because it has no story & no nothing . splinter cell & crysis 2 + maldomod is way much better than that piece of trash !
