disable on board graphics on asus M5A78L-M

I bought an ASUS M5a78L-M LX MOBO and everything works great but I can't get the GEForce GF210 PCIe video card to work. If I leave the card out and use the on board video it works, but when I plug in the video card, I can't any video from either one. I have set the Primary Video Controller to GFX0 which should be my PCIe 16 card with no luck. Is there a way to totally disable the on board video on this MOBO? Thank you for any help.

Yes, according to the book that came with the board I set the primary video to GFX0 which us supposed to be the PCIe 16.
