can i use dell disc on acer laptop?

i have an Acer laptop with built in windows 7, can i use a Dell DVD to reinstall windows 7?

No you can't. Dell installation discs check for the presence of a Dell BIOS and will abort if the BIOS does not have a Dell ID.

Your laptop should have it's own Windows 7 backup/recovery partition anyway, or with appropriate software and an external hard drive you can make your own backup image.
