I would like to build a sff pc to connect to our 1080p panasonic plasma tv. We would like to cancel our cable provider. Basically, we would use it for watching movies (streaming netflix, hulu, youtube, etc) , web browsing, minecraft, music.

We would need wifi and ethernet. Hdmi, dvd and blu ray player, planning on using ubuntu. Would like to spend under $300. Can anyone suggest the hardware I would need.

Thanks so much! That gives me a good starting point. What would be your opinon on buying something like the zotac zbox nano compared to building my own?
