So I was thinking of upgrading my 7850 to a more high performance card. I'm looking for a card that will be fine for my needs for the next few years(until 2015-2016). I'm fine with high to very high settings and don't care much for ultra. I usually don't put my aa anywhere past fxaa since I am a pretty good distance from my screen and can't tell the difference. I also like to play games in my tv's max res which is 1920x1080. Only planning on playing on one screen and at 60fps.

Fx 6300 oc'd to 4.2ghz
msi 1gb gddr5 7850 oc'd to 1040mhz on core
8gb ddr3 1333 team elite memory(4gb x 2)
ASUS M5A97 R2.0
Toshiba 500gb 7200rpm internal hdd
SeaSonic S12II 520W PSU
Here are the cards I am looking at:

MSI twin frozr 7970
gigabyte 7970 oc
Gigabyte R9 280x oc
MSI gaming r9 280x
From what I have seen, the r9 280x is pretty much the same as the 7970 but revised. Since they are pretty much the same price, I should go with the r9 280x right?
