Hello, I have ordered a new pc, with no monitor, just the tower. I have a question about the HDMI output. I want to use my LED monitor TV as a PC monitor, connected to my PC with an HDMI cable. The problem is this. If I plug it in for the first time, will it show anything or I have to use a DVI/VGA cable first and change the default BIOS settings to HDMI and then use the HDMI? I have an XFX Radeon 7870 GPU and a Gigabyte 990XA UD3 mobo. In case you know if HDMI is enable on default on these two, please inform me.

As long as the hdmi is the only thing plugged in (no other output to other hdmi/dvi/vga device), it should show up on your TV with no problems.
