hi all,

i'm viewing some cable managements tips as air flow is kinda lacking thanks to my non-modular corsair billion unused wires, and many of the videos i'm seeing on youtube are coiling their wires. be it audio cables, fan controllers or whatever...

is it ok to coil any cable? be it computing or in general. I recall being told that cables should never be coiled as to avoid interference and such.

any specific type which can and/or can not?

thanks

If the cable is not connected to anything [ and no current is flowing through it ] then its perfectly safe to coil them up and cable tie them out of the way .
If there is current in the wire then coiling it can potentially be an issue .

But I have never heard of anyone having any kind of issue with low voltage power cables inside a pc case

If you are brave and have a casual attitude to expansion its even possible to cut unused cable off the psu . Cut one wire at a time , leave about an inch stub and cover each one individually with heatshrink tubing
