Given the scenario where one intends to run a rather old game (Fallout New Vegas, using an even older engine) in 1080p only, with a card like the 780*, what sort of forced settings will give the absolute best / cleanest visuals? I hear all about FXAA, MSAA, SMAA etc. etc., and combinations of everything. My intent here is simple: First and foremost, rock solid 60fps no matter what's going on. Second, the best rendering of each frame possible. Speaking from experience, a 780 is far from overkill even in this case.

*Hey, I'd get a 290x if it was available. I'd even hold off another few days if it was guaranteed that it would be available after just a few. But I'm done sitting around waiting, and frankly I'm a little exhausted from dealing with AMD's drivers on my 6990 as it is.

Splendid
In the Nvidia settings for the best looking display settings..
Set Ambient Oclusion to Quality
Anisotropic filtering to x16
Antialising on - pick which level suits you most, the higher the quality but lower the FPS
Antialiasing Transparency 8 x supersample
Texture Filtering Quality - High Quality
Vertical sync on
Choose the highest settings available in the game
The 780 is a great card. you won't be disappointed with its performance.
