Hi guys,

i7 860 (OC 3.8 ghz)
8 gig 1600
gigabyte Radeon 7970 oc
27'' monitor

I was thinking of building a new rig with full next gen hardware or just to upgrade the above by either doubling the memory/GPU and changing the monitor to a 30".

Do you guys think its worth it just to wait until intel/amd launches hardware that will double my current specs performance wise.

also is crossfire 7970 @ 1080p worth it or just leave it single 7970... it cant OC for sh1tz (worst 7970 of the bunch)

I suggest that you'd rather get a new CPU due to it's low on Clock Speed (Base Speed). And with a new CPU, you can OC it for 4-5 Ghz. and get a new mobo, also. depending on the socket. but before that, what's your budget for an upgrade?

His processor is likely to be good enough for a little while longer.
