I have selected a post as "best solution", but now I want to cancel the post from being "best solution" and to cancel my thread as being "solved".
(Now I understand that the given answer might be inaccurate or perhaps even not correct at all)

How to do that?

On the post selected as best answer, there should be a button labeled "Unselect current solution". I don't know if it will make you select another post as best answer or not.

i believe the post you selected as best answer should now have a unselect button in place of the best answer button...

I'm able to see the "Unselect current solution" button. Maybe you can't see it since you selected the best answer.
