Upgrading 7870 ($300-450 Budget)

The 7950 wouldn't be worth an upgrade from the 7870. You could definitely go for a 7970/GHz ed or a 280x. Since the 7870 is still pretty good, I would personally recommend you wait until the next true generation of cards come out (not just rebrands) in the next year or so.

Well, if you have a crossfire-capable motherboard, I would definitely recommend just getting another HD 7870. You'll get two free games, you'll have the power of a GTX Titan in your rig and you'll still be leveraging the power of your original HD 7870. It will also cost you way less. Two HD 7870s in crossfire will keep you very happy for a long, long time. :D
