I am considering upgrading my from old 5770 to GTX 770 or R9 280X but I have no idea which one to pick. Nvidia have lots of cool software and features like G-Sync,Shadowplay,Shield streaming and offers 3 games bundled with GTX 770. While R9 280 is more next gen ready and you get batter performance for lower price...

Any suggestions?

But is the card not too expensive for the OC? There was a test on tomshwardware.de with an Sapphire 270x vapor-x where the card don`t hold the boost under load, don`t know how the other cards from Sapphire will work, need more cards to be tested.

I don`t know for the 280x but for the 270x MSI coolers don`t have much cooling capacities. Gigabyte and HIS have at lest cooling headroom for the 270x.

I have the 770 2gb. its a great card/ runs everything ultra and 30% to 60% power consumption also never goes above 60oC. These cards from AMD are good but offer limited overclocking especially the 290x. There like a heater for your case but if you don't mind that go for the cheaper option. normally that wont help your wallet in the long run... My not a fan boy I have the 770 and for me its handled everything I throw at it

Gigabyte or HIS, both very good, MSI is also good but the coolers don`t have much cooling capacities left for OC and the card is a bit warmer than the others.
