I have a gaming rig that I built recently (http://imgur.com/a/km0H0#0) that initially I was running on a couple of simple 17" dell monitors. Fortunately, lady luck sprung and I was able to upgrade my set to 3x19s for $40 when work had a hardware auction (dat price!!).

So now, I have 3 - 1280x1024 monitors and a medium-high graphics card. I want to continue to get the best out of my system. Would SLIing my graphics card with a duplicate or replacing it with the 4gb model be the better option?

Out of your two options, neither is that great of an option, but if you are determined to go with one of them SLI will give you more of a performance increase than going from 2gigs of video ram to 4 gigs.

The reason I say neither choice is that great, is ideally you do want more ram for multi-monitor gaming. I've seen some games go above 2 gigs of ram useage when I run at a triple screen resoution (although you'll be helped by the fact that your screens are low resolution). Even with your limited ram, you'll get a much more noticeable boost from going with an SLI configuration than you would getting the same card with more ram. Getting the card with more ram will honestly give you very little gain except in a few games that have high ram useage (skyrim with lots of mods) and even then I dont think the gain would be anywhere near what adding a second card would be.

If I were you I would skip both options, enjoy your setup as it is then in the future upgrade your video card when you will get more of a gain.

2x monitors plus depending on your games your playing..Skyrim by its self with mods can do damage i would go for 4GB and sli in the future which would be a sick setup for what you have

Anyone telling you to go with the same card at 4GB versus SLI'ing another 760 is a [CENSORED].

There is currently little/no benefit from having 4gb vs 2gb on this card at this lowish resolution.

3x 1280x1024 = 3 932 160 pixels (your resolution)
1x 1920x1080 = 2 073 600 pixels (1080p)
1x 2560x1440 = 2 764 800 pixels (1440p)
3x 1920x1080 = 6 220 800 pixels (3x 1080p)

This review of the GTX 770 2GB vs 4GB found NO DIFFERENCE in any game even at 1440p and 1080px3 resolutions. There is reason to doubt the 760 would be any different.

You would likely not notice any FPS increase, maybe one FPS at most. Getting a second 2GB card in SLI will almost double your FPS. Of note you should get a 2GB card as SLI'ing a 4GB card and a 2 GB card will still result in only 2GB of usable VRAM.

Of course if you were setting up this system from scratch there could be some argument as to getting the 760 4GB vs 2GB for the nebulous concept of "future proofing" but currently having a 760 2GB it would be ridiculous to swap it out for a 4GB model. Again you would gain ZERO fps from that.

So anyone voting for spending money for no increase in FPS should [CENSORED AGAIN]. The only correct answer would be to go with 6702GB SLI, roughly doubling your FPS.
