I've been doing some research and now beginning to collect parts for my first computer build.
This will be a home PC used for typical software and web browsing. I don't do any gaming and
so far no video editing.
Right now I'm considering hard drives.
I was planning on using two Western Digital Black 500GB drives. Drive #2 will be for system drive images and backups as well as downloads.
The O.S. will probably be Windows 7, but haven't decided which version.
I've seen that there are some solid state drives of about 120GB at about the $100 mark and I'm
wondering if that would be a good choice for the system drive.
I've never used a SSD and don't know if the performance difference and reliability is worth
the additional cost.
So I'm looking for some recommendations and comments about hard disk drives versus solid state drives.
Thanks.
