Long time reader, first-time poster...

Did some overclocking today on my i3570k. Ive been running it at 4.2Ghz since the day i bought it with no problems. Intel burn test would hit about 51-54c max in Realtemp. Idles around 22-26c.

Today i decided to try to see how far i could go with pushing it to the limits... I went step by step from 4.2 up.. adjusting voltage as needed for stability. I hit the ceiling at 4.8ghz @ 1.4v. (i will never go over 1.4v though)

I did some prime95 testing and my cpu temp is 74c under load, and its been going for about 50 minutes now and no errors crashing yet. Idle temps are around 30-32c

I just wondered about the integrity of the overclock. Do the temps seem ok for that much voltage? Obviously im not sure if it will be stable yet (my bet is that it wont be). Just wanted to get some opinions on where this overclocks sits for the 3570 with the voltage supplied and the temperatures im seeing.

It looks great but I would be worried about such a high voltage like that decreasing the longevity of the CPU.
