CUT faster than COPY using mapped folder

Hey guys,

Here is my problem...I have a mapped folder located on my file server (Windows 2003 sp2 r2), when I CUT a file/folder from my file server to any of my computers on my LAN I experience a very slow transfer speed...let's say I have a 17MB pptx file that I want to CUT from my file server to any computer...it takes near 5 min to complete. Whereas, COPYING it take a couple of seconds.
Any suggestions would be helpful, thank you guys from your support.

you never want to cut anyways. You must have never run into making a cut and them trying to paste it but it winds up being corrupt - thus losing your file. That happened to me a several years ago and I found I wasn't alone.

Always copy, paste, then delete if you want
