Sapphire 7870 OC - Still having issues?

Hi there,

Right now I am deciding on my GPU. It is a toss up between the:

Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 7870 Dual-X OC edition

Or

Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7870 OC edition

I know the triple fan design of the Gigabyte is probably better for cooling, but I am leaning towards the Sapphire at the moment as I can get it for £40 cheaper than the Gigabyte. I imagine the difference in performance is neglible for that price difference...

However, I have heard a lot about this Sapphire card having black screen issues earlier this year. Does anyone know if this has been remedied yet? Its kind of putting me off getting it...

Not sure if you're referring to the card I've got but I have a Sapphire 7870 OC and have had no problems with it whatsoever. Granted, I could've just hit the GPU lottery but so far I've had nothing negative to complain about.
