Hi guys, need some advice with regards to finding 27 inch 2560 x 1440 monitors with the thinnest possible bezels, to connect them together in portrait mode.

rig will have 2 x overclocked GTX780 3gig cards in SLI driving the monitors.

Ok here is some of the research I have done so far current as of 25th October 2013:-

Whilst the bezel width is ignored in the spec lists for monitors it is often stated in the reviews, sometimes the reviewers measure it inacurately and there can be variations betwwen reviewers.

Anyone that owns any 2560 x 1440 27inch monitors can you measure your bezels and add it to the list?

1. Del Ultra Sharp U2713HM Bezel= .8 inch , aprox 20mm on all sides.
2. Samsung S27A850D Bezel= .8 inch , aprox 20mm at the sides and 30mm on the top and bottom bezels
3. Samsung S27B970D Bezel= .9 inch , aprox 23mm at the sides and thicker on the bottom bezel
4. Viewsonic VP2770-LED aprox 22mm on all sides
5. ASUS PB278Q appox 21mm on top,and sides. 26mm on bottom bezel

Any help finding monitors with really thin bezels 27 inch 2560 x 1440 would be really appreciated.

Please post BEZEL widths on ANY 27inch 2560 x 1440 monitors, especially if you own one and can measure the bezel width

Just to warn you, before you buy anything, asus will release a 27" with 6mm bezels soon.

It almost seems like they are putting their inventory of 2560x1440 panels into a case with fast circuit boards and thin bezels so that they can continue to sell the non 4k resolutions for a good buck.

Ooh when? I love Asus's MX279H monitor but just wished they did one a 2560 x 1440 version. At the moment I'm using the LG 2560 x 1080 but miss not having the extra height.

Exactly! the Asus MX279H is close to perfect.
Adding a 2560 x 1440 panel and (vesa mount) would make it the perfect display for 2014.
Keep us posted Louiep

Yeah sorry for the delay. It is the PG278Q. I have since learned that it is a TN panel with Nvidia 'G-Sync'. It is branded Republic of Gamers (ROG). So really a gaming monitor. I am bummed because what I really want is this monitor with a good IPS panel. 60MHz would be fine. But the 6mm and sold resolution is still pretty cool.
