Hi. I'm using at the moment ASUS GTX 550 Ti ( factory OC to 910MHz ) but I'm planning to upgrade it so I'm looking for some advice...
I tried to check hwcompare(.)com but I'm not sure if for example I will notice 7% better performance....or if its worth it to buy new card to have better pixels but worse something else etc.

My budget is around cards GTX 650 Ti or 7790, something in that area.

My spec:
CPU - FX 8320 + H2O Khuler Antec H60
RAM - 8GB Corsair 1600MHz
P.Supply - OCZ 650W Bronze +
MOBO - ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0
OS - Windows 7 64bit
Case - Zalman Z11 Plus
HD - SSHD+SSD(os)

PS. I have seen few threads about 550 Ti but I'm looking for an upgrade today :)  not for year ago etc.

Thank you

I'd go with the 7790 or even the 7850 if you can afford that option.

Here's Anandtech's bench mark results from a GTX 550 Ti vs. AMD 7770 (they didn't have the 7790) so you can get the picture.

Thx for answering...
7770 wasn't that much better than 550ti ( + mine is factory oc to 910MHz ). Few frames on few games... hmm... Fair enough you said to go for 7790 and compare was for 7770.

I will check prices for 7850 and see if I get a gren light from my wife ;)

Thanks

As far as gaming is concerned, you weakest link on your system is your GPU. Your CPU and all the other parts look pretty good.

Here is your absolute best deal, if you can wait for the MIR:

$170 - $30 MIR = $140!!! Almost 7950 performance for less $!!!
PowerColor PCS+ AX7870 2GBD5-2DHPPV3E Radeon HD 7870 MYST. Edition (Tahiti LE) 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card (UEFI Ready)

or the 7850 on the cheap:

$140 - $20 MIR = $120!
GIGABYTE GV-R785OC-1GD Radeon HD 7850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
