Hi there, I'm building a mid-range gaming pc and I wanted your help. I have a low budget of around 350-400 bucks.
GPU: I already have a sapphire radeon HD 6850 1GB ddr5 and I'll stick to it for a while.
Cpu: fx 6300 or fx 4300. I won't oc so should I go with other versions like fx 4100 or fx 6100?
MOBO: ASUS m5a97 r2.0 or m5a97 le? LE is cheaper and since i won't oc is it ok, good enough? Or MSI 970a-g43 will this one do? Do they handle the cpu I want and the ram at 1600?
RAM: Corsair vengeance blue 8Gb 1600
PSU: Corsair tx650. Good enough? Or should I go for 750 or 850 version?
HDD: WD blue 1TB 7200rpm 6Gb/s 64MB cache.
Any thoughts on it? Thanks.

CPU: FX4300: $108.99. FX6300: $118.99 (via Amazon). For the extra $10, just get the 6300! The 4100 & 6100 are basically the same prices as the 4300 and 6300.
Mobo: The LE should do just fine if you're not overclocking.
Ram: How much are you getting those for?
PSU: A bit overkill on the PSU. A Corsair CX 430W for $38.99 (via Amazon) would do just fine with your build.
HDD: That's fine.

What about your peripherals/OS? Are you building from scratch?

This is what it would look like:

You'll be pushing your budget just a bit.
I see, I ordered all my parts from Amazon also because it was the only site that offered free/cheap shipping to Hawaii :p.

edit:
You can find Ram ~$10 cheaper if you look more on Amazon.
Also, are you planning to upgrade the GPU anytime soon? If so you may want to upgrade the wattage on the PSU.

If you're not overclocking, the stock heatsink should do just fine. If it's too loud for your preference and you want to upgrade to a quieter one, I'd suggest a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo (what I have on a FX8320).

Amazon:
TX650: $89.99
CX 600: $59.00
CX 750: $83.24

TX is a higher end PSU over the CX with higher capacitors and a longer warranty (3 years vs 5 years), but I run a CX 600w with an HD 7950 it'll do just fine.

Thanks for your replies. One last thing, i'm guessing the answer will be yes but i wanna be sure. I have 6 120 mm fans, cx600w will still handle everything?

Watt = Current x Volt
The volt is 12V, look at the current of the fan and there ya go!
It's typically around 4.5ish watts per fan.

With your current set up, you're at about ~348W for everything.
What GPU are you planning on getting?
You'll be fine with a 600W PSU.
If you're planning on upgrading a bunch (including mobo etc), I would go with a bigger power supply as you'll be saving money in the long run.

I will probably be getting hd7950, and that'll be it. Don't think i'll be upgading from there. Thinking I'll be able to play newer games on at least medium to high settings with that build, am I right?
You sure the m5a97 le r2.0 will do ok without oc the cpu? And will it run the fx 6600 out of the box? Since i don't have another cpu to flash the bios.

In that case, you'll be fine. With the 7950 you'll basically be able to play everything on high with about 60 fps. The LE comes without VRM cooling so as long as you leave everything alone and don't overclock, it will work perfectly. The M5A97 LE R2.0 should post and work with the fx6300 out of the box. It is recommended that you update the bios though. You'll be able to update the bios once you've set up your OS and internet, simply go to the ASUS website and download the driver(s) and then install it.
