Im getting an Alienware x51 desktop for Christmas and it has a Nvidia GeForce GTX 645.
I cant find any benchmarks on this card. what is the equivalent of this card?

My specs are:
Intel i5-4430 (Quad Core 3.0GHz)
Nvidia GTX 645 1GB DDR5
8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM

Finally can this card run these game at 720p at what settings?

Battlefield 3-4
GTA 4
Borderlands
Borderlands 2
Crysis
SimCity
Civilzation 5
Sims 3
Black Ops
Black Ops 2
COD: Ghosts

I'll be the first of many to talk you out of getting an Alienware, its quite an honour.

Seriously though, head over to literally any big PC retailer and have them build it for you. Money being no object is no excuse either because Alienware is typically twice as expensive as a PC you could build yourself or have someone like Cyberpower do, meaning, whatever you are spending on that piece of crap Alienware can get you something twice as fast if not more. If you aren't confident enough to pick the parts yourself then all you have to do is post up a thread and specify a budget and people will post a build for you.

Anyways, if you really must go Alienware, the 645 is only a couple of percent slower than a 650, which has pretty good 720p performance. With that processor you should be able to max all of those games quite comfortably.

I just got that setup about a month ago and love it. I'm not a huge computer guy but I play Battlefield 4, it looks great and runs at high fps. Some people told me not to get it and I'm glad I didn't listen to them. I mainly got my alienware x 51 because of dells "no interest for a year" payment plan and the tech support. You'll be really happy with it.

I am in the same boat, I am looking to get a ready built system for my son, but quite honestly, I just built my new system about 2 months with the help for the forum, I am an IT Professional, but had not built a new system in about 2 years. I would agree with cookybiscuit, build it yourself or have some one build it for you. I am thinking about getting the X51 for my son, so I don't have to deal with support for it, honestly. Dell, in my opinion, has 50% quality support, I have an alienware X14 R2, that I had been using before I decide to build a new system.

So I would say...

1. Build your own system with some guidance.

or if you don't want to deal with it.

2. Get the X51, but upgrade it to a reasonable price and warranty it for a minimum of 2 years, so it can last you a while.

If you interested in building your own system ask the forum for some advise.

I built my system at under $900.

i5, @ 3.4Ghz
Asus Z87
32GB Ram
eVGA 770s 2Gb in SLI

harddrives I had
I did get a new case though.

Look for my other post. ' New iCore System '

In my opinion I'm also in the same situation I'm getting an x51 for Christmas. The specs are Intel I3 3.40 ghz. Dual core. With the gtx 645. And ubuntu. But. Personally a lot of people seem to hate on me for wanting alienware. I think it's becausr they are mad that they can't afford alienware so they find ways to reighn on other peoples parade. Keep in mind. That this. Is an opinion

Nice bait.

After looking at my budget and my son asking me to upgrade his PC soon, he started to play 2033 and he got lang. I told him I would be ordering his part today, and to look for a buyer for his old system.

System ordered.

1 x ASUS H81M-K LGA 1150 Intel H81 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 uATX Intel Motherboard

1 x Cooler Master Vortex Plus - CPU Cooler with Aluminum Fins and 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

1 x Intel Core i5-4430 Haswell 3.0GHz LGA 1150 84W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics BX80646I54430

1 x Kingston HyperX 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 Desktop Memory Model KHX1600C10D3B1K2/16G

with an ASUS 660 GTX OC, that I had plan to replace, but did not get a chance.

Total Cost $403, plus $170 for the used Asus 660 GTX.

Any opinions??

Woah, it is in no way people being jealous, I would spend at least what that alienware pc costs if I build a pc for myself or my friends, it's just I would get at least double the framerate. Alienware pc's are overpriced, underperforming crap. Fact.
