Hey guys, i've been away from hardware world for a while and i think it is a time to upgrade some of my gear...

I have a GTX580, and with upcomming BF4 and Assasins Creed i want to upgrade.

Question:
Should i buy AMDs R9 290X, ....... GTX 780 or GTX 660Ti SLI... ?!
2x 660Ti are exect same price as 290x and some benchmarks show that 660Ti SLI gives better performence, but what do you gamers/hardware freeks think?

This is not a debate for AMD vs Nvidia lovers, i just need some clarity in what i will get most out of.

Best Regards
Michael

personally i would go for the 290x. the new technologies being introduced and the potential at higher resolutions makes it a promising card for moving into the future

580 is enoigh to run bf4 on high with more than 60 fps. Ultra about 50.You don't have to upgrade but if you want to a lot buying another 580 would be great. However, you might be able to do better with something else, for example an ssd would increase installed games performance or ram

2x 660Ti's cost same as R9 290x and yes, performence maybe a little better, but i really like the simplicity of 1core GPU, + the new technologies which it brings to market. It is still lots of money tho... :/

Not sure about 50fps on ultra with a single 580 on bf4.. it's still early and it's not very well optimised, I have 660 ti Sli and I don't get constant 60fps!

Getting an ssd won't improve performance of games, just load up times, it wouldn't increase fps.

I would buy R9 290 non x and upgrade in the future. Depends on your PSU :).
