I currently have a quadro 4000 for my current workstation which I use mainly in Maya for animation purposes. I realize that this is a 'workstation' graphics card, and as such, won't handle games very well. I am thinking about buying a GTX 770 to replace this card, to be able to play some games (like BF4) smoothly. I'm wondering what specific qualities will I lose by using the GTX as opposed to the quadro?

My thought is I'm not even using my computer in a way that is benefited from having a 'workstation' graphics card, so might as well get a cheaper card that can actually play some games on it.

You'll lose some performance (in the chart, basically, 680=770), but if the higher performance in gaming is more important, then I would definitely grab the 770.
