Hey Guys,

I was going to wait until the Maxwell NVIDIA Cards for my next upgrade however a few things have got me second guessing that decision. I play BF 4 mostly and will be playing AC 4 and Batman AO on this PC. I have a 1080p monitor and that will probably stay AS IS for the future and I want to be at 60FPS maxed out.

I don't plan on building a new machine for 2-3 years, and I don't really want to mess with SLI/Overclocking/CF. I realize I may not be maxing stuff out after 2 years but it still needs to run well.

Current Specs:
Biostar Z77-X-E3 Mobo
i5 3570(non K)
EVGA 660TI SC
550W Rosewill PSU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
8GB of G-SKILL DDR3 PC12800
128GB SSD
1TB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM

AMDs new R9 Cards have been released and NVIDIA has answered with price drops as well as including the 3 game bundle.

1) Will my PSU be enough for the GTX 780 or R9 290X?
2) Which card should I go for 290/290x or GTX 780? I would value the game bundle at $100 because I would def wait for a steam sale to buy them if I don't get the bundle.
3)$550 is basically my budget. However not having to spend as much is always a plus.

Open to other suggestions, what do you all think?

That PSU probably will not support a GTX 780. You'd probably need to upgrade it. If you want to save money, get the 290X, if you want top-notch performance get the GTX 780.

If I'm not mistaken 780 is cheaper than a 290X right now, is it worth it to buy a non-reference version for like $20-$40 more?

You're right, was looking at the 280x. :)  Can't go wrong with non-reference though, it's better for cooling.

I'd go with either MSI model, the LIGHTNING has marginally better cooling but the Dragon edition is $20 cheaper. :)

Thanks for your help! Will probably grab the MSI Dragon Edition 780 soon!
