GTX 780 or 770 after price cuts?

Earlier this week, Nvidia announced price cuts from both the 780 and the 770, lowering them to $500 and $330. So my question is, Is the GTX 780 now worth it?

R9-290x is more worth it. As for the 780 itself it is now within semi reasonable prices, so I would get either the 780 or the 290x.

I know the R9 290x is better, but it's out of my price range. I'm already pushing my budget. So I'll take your answer as a GTX 780.

I have the 770 2Gb, and up until now have maxed all games. I live in Japan and BF4 doesn't come out until next week, but from what the benchmarks are saying, a single 770 can't run ultra and maintain high fps, there will be drops. If you can afford it, get a 780. Not just for BF4, but for future games that are coming out as well.

If you can wait a month or 2 get a 290x with a non-reference cooler when they finally come out. Otherwise 780 all the way.

If you cant get the 290x then the 780 is the best bet. The 770, while no means a poor card, is beginning to struggle at higher settings on new games.

780 is going to run cooler than the 290x - just something to think about.

I take it non reference r9 290xs are more expensive than reference?

Depending on the company it might be 20-30 more, overall its not anything to sway away form the card over.
