Is there really a choice here? Dendrotoxin's build is the only true budget gaming build.
The guy actually got a Radeon 7950, and 6-core CPU in there.

Well.. I am not completely happy with the selection of the builds. This page said us to do the best build for 1000 dollars, but at the end of the day all you selected was just the sub 600$ builds.

Next year there should be three different sections like..

1. Budget Build - Sub $600
2. Mid Budget build - Sub $1000
3. Extreme Build - $2000

The reason is because we really do not have any idea what we should plan. Whether we should plan the best build for sub 600$ or the best build for 1000$ in this particular section. Hence things should be changed around quite a build for the next year.

I think the assessment was fair, the contest was for budget not performance, it should be assumed that in a budget contest people will be looking for the best bang for buck. Just as a consumer will be balancing money and power the entries should do the same, even if given an upper limit for budget.

Dendrotoxin Deluxe seems to be a pro messing with amatuers. Sorry boys!
November 19, 2013 11:59:21 AM

I really cannot suggest any of them. Over $600 is no longer a "budget build", but those under 600 went with memory brands known to have poor quality chips.... At least the super budget had the sense to use G.Skill which has really improved over the past few years. Not to mention the suggested use of Sapphire GPU which I replace a dozen of those per year with customers custom built budget systems...

Take the "Dendrotoxin" build, swap out the memory to at least G.Skill and that would be the only worthy budget build here.
