Dell UltraSharp U2913WM & ATI Radeon HD 5670

i purchased an ultrawidescreen monitor (Dell UltraSharp U2913WM) that has 2560 x 1080 resolution. does my ATI Radeon HD 5670 support that resolution or do i need a newer video card?

It would run it, just very poorly, you would want a new card to do anything on that monitor.

i'm using the monitor right now. everything seems stretched out

You may have to go under CCC and adjust some settings, but it might not be running at the correct resolution. The other problem may be due to its not a standard 16:9 resolution. Standard is 1920x1080 but yours has a higher lateral value without increasing screen height.
