Which is better for gaming (COD:Ghosts) AMD or Intel?

I currently only have 3GB of ram and the minimum specifications for the game I bought is 6GB. Looking to actually get a new computer, not replace my current ram sticks.

This is somewhat of a loaded question, its akin to asking which potato is better russets or golden yukon.
It usually comes down to the what is your end goal, will you be using the system for video/audio/image rendering etc?
If its purely for gaming then IMHO AMD or Intel will suffice but it also comes down to how much are you willing to spend?
Don't forget that the bulk of the gaming takes place on the GPU so you may be somewhat bottle necked if you have a low end graphics card.
