intel i5 4670k versus fx 8350 and fx 9370

I am trying to figure out what the best gaming cpu would be. I would like to buy either a intel i5 4670k, fx 8350, or fx 9370. My question is which cpu is the best for the performance of gaming and everyday tasks? Or if you know of a better cpu for around $250 max please mention it.

Intel i5 4670k would be better than those FX processors...

Right now the 4670k is probably the best choice, although with the next gen consoles the FX-8---s may get a boost. That is yet to be seen though. Don't get a 9---, they're essentially OCed 8---s and come with a very high TDP and generate a lot of heat.

4670k is a good overclocker too, I got mine to 4.5GHz easily (with aftermarket cooling though).

In BF4 and Crysis 3, the 8350 outperforms the i5 class Intel CPUs. If you intend to play those games, the AMD solution is clearly better.

If you intend to play older games, that aren't optimized well, then the i5 is likely better.
