Hi everyone!

So I'm playing and really enjoying BF4 so far but at the moment I have to bottom out all of the settings in order to get a somewhat playable framerate, and even then I suffer from stutters and general FPS drop when there is a lot going on.

My system specs are:

CPU: AMD FX-4100 3.6GHz
GPU: GeForce GTX 650Ti Boost
Ram: 8 Gigs DDR3
HDD: Run of the mill standard 250gb Samsung Drive
OS: Win7 Pro SP1

I'm assuming the bottleneck here is the CPU as the Bulldozer CPUs have a notoriously bad rep. If I was to upgrade to an FX8350 do you guys think this would allow me to play the game on decent settings with a decent framerate?

Thanks for the input.

Asus M5A97 R2.0. Honestly I don't need to max the game out on Ultra settings, I just want a good framerate on even medium settings I would be satisfied with. I think the 650TiB should be sufficient for that.

Also - those tests were run with the GTX 650 Ti base version, not the "Boost" version, maybe the 1GB base version? My boost is 2GB VRAM and from the research I've done the TiB version of the 650 is a considerable upgrade from the original.

2 GB VRAM is false advertising. I got 660 in SLI setup, when VRAM usage goes over 1532-1580 game starts to stutter terribly. This is because that last 512 MB shares the bus with the other 512 bit so the speed gets halved or even worse. Texture replacement in that last 512 MB is very slow and causes lags. I am kind of hopeless about it being fixed. It does fine on High preset with NO AA.
