Need help with motherboard

hey buds i would like to know if the MSI H87-G43 Gaming motherboard can run with 2nd gen intel cpus(i3)or its only for the last gen
1)is this motherboard good for a gaming pc or i should look for something else please sugest
2)please help me buy a 8g ram because i dont know what to buy

no it only works with 4th Gen as it uses a different socket, it's quite a decent board as long as u're not looking to OC/SLI
