In my experience, most things from Conduit are annoying things that are hard to get rid of. Look around on Google for your specific symptoms (other than this process, more into the effects it has) and/or just delete every trace of Conduit. Unless you have a practical use for it.
You could alternatively edit your startup settings to not run that.

It may or may not be damaging. What it tends to do is take over your web browsers forcefully and manipulate search results (and provider), add-ons, favourites, redirects you to random sites, etc.
