Steam wont let me play COD GHOSTS (DISC ERROR)

I purchsed the game through steam and i DL'ed it today and its saying disc read error when i launch multiplayer. I dont have a disc because i downloaded it through steam. wtf? anyone else getting this issue

there is an option in steam to check the... integrity?? (cant remember the term), you can try that. under properties i think (of the game)
