I just got done building this and wanted to know if it would bottleneck considering the CPU is has. Some say it will, some say it won't so my question is, will it or will it not?

And is this a good first build? :)

OK here.

1. CPU is underpowered. Going for a 6300FX makes a lot more sense.
2. OVERKILL by miles powersupply.

My suggestion :

PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1ZaFm
Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1ZaFm/by_merchant/
Benchmarks: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1ZaFm/benchmarks/

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($117.97 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($69.99 @ Microcenter)
Memory: G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($82.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card ($255.66 @ Newegg)
Case: Fractal Design Core 3000 USB 3.0 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($39.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: XFX 550W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($55.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $605.58
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)
